Corporate Champions: Herbert Bass, Esq. & Fox Rothschild, LLP.
Herb Bass, highly dedicated current Board Member, and a former chairman of CORA’s Board of Directors, has contributed his time, talent and treasure to CORA for almost 40 years. Thanks to Herb’s tireless commitment to furthering CORA’s mission, Fox Rothschild has also been a longtime sponsor of CORA Services and we are incredibly honored to award them the title of Corporate Champion.
Herb Bass has been named among “The Best Lawyers in America” for Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law. In addition to serving on CORA’s Board, Herb has taught real estate law at Manor Junior College. He has also served as board chair of the Committee of Seventy, the Crime Prevention Association, the Immaculata College Real Estate Advisory Board, and the Harvard Law School Fund for the Philadelphia area.
Dr. Arthur Evans is the former Commissioner of the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services for the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pennsylvania. Dr. Evans has been a partner to CORA, and many other nonprofit human services organizations who support children and families. He recently led the Mayor’s Task Force to Combat the Opioid Epidemic in Philadelphia.
Each year our committee identifies honorees in three categories:
- The Corporate Champion is presented to a leader who is committed to helping children and families in the community and has facilitated connections for resources that support the mission of CORA Services.
- The Civic Champion is presented to a civic leader who has been instrumental in creating a brighter future for children and families in our community.
- The Classroom Champion Award recognizes a high school junior or senior student for his or her achievements in the classroom, despite having faced significant challenge and adversity.
