Day One (Wednesday, April 4, 2018 ) 12:30 PM
As a result of this interactive workshop, participants will be able to:
- Cite handwriting research and SMHP evidence
- Identify & explain Key Concepts
- Describe strategies to implement SMHP in various settings
- Push-in Collaboration, Pullout Therapeutic Intervention, Stand Alone Curriculum
- Discuss Accommodations for Students with learning needs
Day Two (Monday, May 21, 2018) 12;30 PM
As a result of this interactive workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe strategies to implement SMHP in various settings
- Center Time Activity, Home Program, Handwriting Club, Response to Intervention
- Discuss data collection, including:
- Screening, Assessment, Goal writing and Progress Monitoring Forms A & B, Scoring
Intended Audience:
Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, Educators, Principals, Teachers, Graduate Students and other practitioners within mental health and education who provide direct services and/or parent/teacher consultation for this population.
Credits Offered: 6.0 Act 48 credits/6.0 Hours of Attendance
Participants must attend both sessions. Partial credit for attending one day session will NOT be awarded.
