CORA SERVICES SUMMER

Mayor Nutter comes to CORA Services and gets HIRED!!!Mayor Michael Nutter visited CORA Services to tour, and get updated information about programs and services we offer to many parts of the city. The Mayor was generally familiar with the agency from his days in City Council but as was pointed out during the visit, the range and scope of services, and the needs of the children and families we serve have changed over the years. The Mayor was introduced to staff and given a quick overview of each division, where we serve and how CORA Services interacts with city departments. In addition to touring the building, and hearing about present and future programming, Mayor Nutter received material detailing who we are and what we do. And he was presented with his own CORA employee swipe ID badge...his first question was "Does this really work?" "Of course" said Dr. Chunn "and we invite you back to use it anytime you wish".

Mayor Nutter Posed with Terry Devlin, showing off his CORA Services ID badge..which Identified him as Michael Nutter, Mayor of Philadelphia..He asked if swipe really worked...he was assured it did, and he was welcome back anytime...
CDRC Staff showed the Mayor the consoles used to offer career guidance to non-public school
After Mayor Nutter left CORA Services he had a speaking engagement at the NE Chamber of Commerce and apparently like his CORA ID badge so much, he kept in on...wonder if he kept in on for his appointment in Washington DC later that day? |
