Academic Support
In collaboration with classroom teachers, CORA provides small-group academic support to students with difficulty in reading and/or math. Our primary goal is to facilitate positive, long-term improvement in each child’s particular academic weaknesses, enabling him or her to function successfully in the classroom. CORA educators utilize varied instructional strategies and materials to differentiate instruction and provide best practices. Learning activities are designed to motivate and engage each student. CORA teachers work to develop basic skills and align with classroom instruction. Service length ranges from a few sessions on a targeted topic to ongoing instruction for the duration of the school year.

Eligibility
Students in grades K-12 in contracted schools who are referred for service by a teacher, administrator or educational specialist
Access Service
Parent/Guardian:
- Contact your child’s school to request services. Check if CORA is your school’s current provider.
School:
- Philadelphia non-public schools may request CORA as their service provider through the School District of Philadelphia Intermediate Unit’s annual contract process. Contact CORA to discuss benefits to your school.
- Public school districts and charter schools may contact CORA to develop a partnership.
