Truancy Services

CSD1Truancy is often an indicator of other challenges in a student’s family or community and can lead to academic failure, delinquency, substance use, and other risk behaviors. Truancy Prevention and Intervention Initiative (TPII) is a city-wide initiative between the School District of Philadelphia, Family Court, DHS, and partner agencies like CORA Services. TPII is designed to target truancy with early assessment and intervention so that each student can successfully participate in school and prepare for the future. CORA’s professional case managers are trained to work with students and families to address these challenges and remove barriers to their success.
