In 1975, Pat Stoerrle and Mary Doherty began their careers at CORA Services on the same day together. Under the 94-142 law, CORA hired educators and counselors to serve the nonpublic sector in the community.

Over the last 40 years, Pat Stoerrle has been the face of education at CORA Services. She grew with the organization as an educator, a trainer and a leader. Her passion for children and kind attitude has helped CORA expand its nonpublic school services division. Pat has modeled professionalism to her staff in overcoming various obstacles in the field. Her flexibility has been her strength to lead a division staff of over 100.

Mary Doherty’s leadership and tenacity started in counseling. Mary proved to be a skilled child advocate for families throughout the city as she grew with CORA services. Her work with NPSS, day camps and grant writing has developed Mary into one of our strong, passionate leaders of the agency. It is her work in Community Services that has removed barriers for many clients to achieve their fullest potential. Mary currently serves as the Managing Director for Community Services Division.

Together, Pat and Mary are pillars of CORA, each dedicating years of service and experience. It is their loyalty, knowledge and relationships that have contributed to CORA’s reputation as a unique nonprofit agency in Philadelphia.
