Studies show that the earlier children can become engaged with literature, the better. Hosted by Eric J. Smith, MA, CCC-SLP/L, and his team, families will participate in a 1-hour weekly workshop designed to help parents and other caregivers help their youngsters learn to read, and enjoy it!
Each hour-long session will feature a short video and a quick lesson about how families can support their child’s literacy development through everyday routines and a parent/child reading-related activity that’s fun and meaningful.
Weekly topics will include:
-
- Literacy Happens in the Home
- Literacy Happens in the Living Room
- Literacy Happens in the Kitchen
- Literacy Happens in the Bedroom and Bathroom
- Literacy Happens Out and About
Casual family friendly dinners provided.
