Early in 2017, Mayor Kenney’s Task Force to Combat the Opioid Epidemic held Community Listening Sessions throughout the city to begin the public conversation about the impact of opioids on our communities. More people attended the session held at CORA, in the Northeast, than any other session in the city.
80% of those surveyed have been directly impacted or know someone who has been directly impacted by drug misuse.

- Discuss drug addiction and misuse and how it impacts our families and neighborhoods
- Learn about recovery education
- Hear an update on the Mayor’s Task Force to Combat the Opioid Epidemic
- Understand NARCAN Administration policies and receive training – *a limited number of NARCAN kits will be available for those receiving training
